Electrical tachometer
| Application | |||
| The instrument is suitable for measuring the revolution of vehicle motor cranshafts. | |||
| Description | |||
This instrument requires a transmitter. The instrument consists of a movement built into an internal-illumination metall case coated against corrosion. The transmitter is an A.C. generator supplying a voltage proportional to the RPM of the engine crankshaft. It is upon effect of this voltage that the pointer of the rectifier-type, moving coil-measuring instrument deviates. On the scale the deviation of the pointer indicates the RPM of the cranshaft. |
